Inspired by Finnabair

Hi Folks,

As you will know i recently attended a fabulous class by Ana AKA finnabair - the polish scrapbooker extraordinaire. It was certainly a wonderful way to learn her style by watching the master firsthand. We received 2 very generous kits and were encouraged to go away and create some more layouts and creations with the kit leftovers so as i had oodles of time at the Scrappin Patch retreat i thought that i would do some more layouts in her style! As it turned out i had enough to do another 3 layouts using all the products left over from the kits and i still have leftovers!

Anyhoo- as my class layout featured Ella and i still had lots of photos of her i thought that i would do another to match. This one was based on the Once Upon a Sketch challenge for April - but i didn't enter it in the competition out of respect to Finnabair as it is HER style and not mine!

I really fell in love with Washi tape and masking tape and the plasterers tape that you can get from the $2 shop - cheap - but it looks fab on the page!

The next layout once again features Ella= i managed to get her to let me take some photos of her in her favourite dress of the summer. Simon found some  Indian dresses and saris - and bracelets at a garage sale ( where else!) and Ella fell in love with this beaded dress. It has a scarf that she ties around her hair but she wouldn't put it on for the photo- but she really does look like a gypsy girl with it on! She wore the dress and scarf to the school International day and was thrilled to be picked out for a special prize on the day! Anyhoo - here is Layout #2

The final Finnabair layout was done for one of the challenges at the retreat- very loosely based on the sketch provided... this one features Zoe on holiday in Queenstown in 2010.

another close up!
So there you have it - which one do you like best (  if any) and why ? Would love your feedback!

Back soon with some photo updates of the girls and school holiday activities for family that i am sure will soon be asking !!

Love them all. Your Finnabair style is rocking. Looks like you have made good use of the goodies in the kits.

They are all lovely but the first one of Ella is beautiful and she looks so grown up in those photos! :)
