OUAS for Match and some Irish craic photos!

Hi folks,

Just a quick share to show you my effort for the Once Upon a Sketch challenge for March. For this one i have used some of the new BoBunny Prairie Chic line. I love all the blues and greens of this line - which reminds me a lot of the Welcome Home range from last year.

The theme for this month is to incorporate something about the weekend with either yourself or  someone you love as the focus of the layout. I decided to use this gorgeous picture of Lucy with a friends new kitten, Rosie. She was visiting most days and in the weekends to have a cuddle!

Here is the lovely sketch for this month...

And this is my take on the sketch...i used some texture paste in my background to emphasise the hexagon shapes on the paper, then i added some chipboard flourishes and a sign from Kaisercraft. Lots of Prima flowers and a star vine and Green Tara flowers. I did my journalling on a tag which is just sticking out by the white frames at the bottom left of the photo! Sorry i forgot to get a photo of that part- but i promise that the journalling is there!!

a close up showing the main cluster- i threaded some pink heart beads onto the  vine too

Would love to hear your comments- especially since its been awhile since i have had time to do a layout!!

The scraproom is coming along - the underlay and carpet are down- we have almost finished the plastering and sanding and hopefully will be ready to do the first undercoat tomorrow night! We hope to have it all done by the end of the weekend- i can't wait!!

Over the weekend it was Simon's birthday ( 3 down -2 birthdays to go...). On Saturday we had a party at home - and since his birthday is the day before St Patricks - we decided to have an Irish theme . So after raiding the $2 shop we were ready to go!!! Here are some of the photos !

ready for some craic!
