Sometimes a sketch can be a great starting point for a layout and the latest sketch from C'est Magnifique is no exception. I loved it so much that i decided to use it again but this time i turned the sketch on its side.
I had a lovely time at a crop night with friends and even got to cuddle a friends 3 month old baby who was just gorgeous - they just smell so beautiful - you could just eat them up! Kate was just beautiful!
Anyhoo- we may have to meet up more regularly now that Scrappin Patch is shutting its doors- we were the regular croppers there! Thankfully the store will still operate online but it is sad that we will not have a large scrapbooking store in CHCH anymore - i loved visiting the shop and being able to browse all the beautiful papers and embellishments!
Maybe once my room is finished i will be able to host some crops there! It is coming along nicely - Simon has it almost all framed up- then needs some wiring done of lights and powerpoints and then the pink batts and gib can go on the walls and it will really start to take shape! Some progress shots coming soon....
Anyhoo here is my version of the sketch turned on its side...
This one as i mentioned uses the beautiful Botanical Odyssey range from Kaisercraft- i preferred the yellow and blues in this range rather than the maroon colours. I tried to make this one abit more grungy to reflect Zoe's age - she is definitely past the pinks!! I did some masking in the background and 2 transparencies- a zip-and even a clothes tag...some hidden journalling on the side as always !
Would love to hear what you think!
Off to a community picnic now and to get the school books x3- which will be an expensive shop!! Less than 2 weeks and the kidlets will be back at school!
Have a great day - 10 days of sunshine forecast here !
