So happy....despite lifes setbacks!!

Hi,

Life sure is busy at this time of year and consequently my poor little blog has been a little neglected. I have managed to get most of my Christmas shopping done and stashed at a friends house for safe keeping and from prying little eyes!

The painters have almost finished at our house and it looks awesome! It  has really tidied our sad little house up and given it a new lease of life. They only have the garage to paint and the deck to build and so we should hopefully be back into our house next weekend. Fingers crossed!

The girls have been flat out with practising for their Christmas performance- Hollie and Lucy for ballet and Ella for hiphop. They have had 2 dress rehearsals this week in preparation for the big show tomorrow night! They are all pretty tired but very excited - they look so gorgeous in their costumes- will get some photos tomorrow! Hollie is a Christmas pudding and Lucy is an icicle - the ballet is of course the Nutcracker! Can't wait for the show!

Zoe has been off on a school camp this week so returns tomorrow no doubt having had a fabulous time but very tired and glad to be home!

Simon and I attended the long awaited and maybe dreaded hospital appointment today and had both good and bad news.  Mostly no real "magic bullets" as the neurologist said to fix things straight away - there will need to be more tests done and so it will now be a waiting game for those to be done - which will take longer because of the holiday season. So all we can do is wait and Simon has to just keep calm and carry on really.

Its not all gloom and doom here though- Christmas is coming!!! We may not all have health (Simon) or wealth but we are lucky to have each other !

I managed to get to the Scrappin Patch crop day on Saturday and had a great time. I got three layouts done using some of the new Glitz Designs papers that i LOVE!!! I also started a Xmas daily album - built from scratch thanks to the lovely Margaret who so kindly helped me with the 40 pages of instructions!! i just need Si to help me with the precise measuring and folding of the spine and it will be done!

My camera is on the blink at the moment so i haven't had a chance to get any photos done to share- Simon and i did look at a new camera for me today so watch this space - i may have a new camera tomorrow and be able to share!

This layout is one that i did for the Once Upon a Sketch challenge  for October but never got round to sending in - not entirely happy with it but nevermind! Let me know what you think...

Cheers

Francine
