A scrappy share

Hi Friends,

Sorry that it has been awhile since i have updated my blog- life just seems to get busier and busier these days and i am sure that it will just get worse with the run up to Christmas too.

Tomorrow night we welcome our billet from Adelaide who will be staying with us for a week. Zoe is very excited naturally and they have a busy week planned with their choir performances. The exchange between Hawthorndene and South Hornby celebrates 10 years this year so they have lots of fun things planned. The choirs are performing for the Christchurch City Council and as part of the Kids in Town at the container shops. They have performances at a number of schools and also a concert for parents in the evening. They also get to go to the Antarctic Centre and we plan to take our billet to Orana Park and our annual Halloween party on Saturday! It should be a busy week!

I know that i haven't been posting many layouts on here at all lately - mainly because i have been so busy that i haven;t been doing alot! But i did manage to finally get to a crop night on Friday  and got three layouts done- it was great to get back into it. i haven't managed to get any photos of those ones yet but i have plenty of others that i haven't shared yet!

I also started teaching scrapbooking at school on Friday as part of the Junior schools discovery programme. I had 5 lovely girls including a certain Lucy - from year 1 and 2. I only get 45 minutes so we just had a play with my cuttlebug - and we decorated some nametags with ribbons and papers and diecuts. They did a great job and really enjoyed it so that was a relief! Next week we are going to make something to hang on their door using paints and bubblewrap and stamping!

Anyhoo here is a layout that i did a month or so ago as part of my Nic Howard class- this one features Zoe and how grown up she suddenly seems- she will be 10 in February! I am almost at the end of my Prima Printery papers- i have made so many layouts with this range! Black and me just go together- i am referred to as the lady in black by a few of my friends! Anyhoo here is the layout- would love to hear your comments!

Have a great rest of Labour Day- relaxing!!

Francine
