Just a quick post to show another layout that i completed for my Nic Howard class last week. This one wasn't part of our assignment but one of the examples she gave us in the handout was so spectacular that i wanted to give it a try! I loved how she had torn the pages diagonally. I used some of my beautiful Basic Grey - Curio papers for this one - papers that i have been hoarding for ages as they were so beautiful! This one features a photo of Lucy that i managed to snap a couple of months ago...
Lots of fussy cutting in this one - the papers are just beautiful and perfect for lots of this technique!
It has been a rainy old weekend- so we have been hiding inside all weekend- we were lucky enough to have a child free evening last night so Simon and I seized the opportunity and went out for dinner ! It was lovely at the Thai restaurant we chose and we then rented a video and had a nice night in! About to go to bed at around midnight and dreaming of a nice sleep in with no children to wake us up and then the phone goes and Lucy wants to come home- so Simon had to shoot round to collect her at midnight from a friends house. So no sleep in this morning! But still it was nice to get out with just my hubby!
Zoe and Hollie were excited tonight to be sleeping in their new beds- Hollie now has bunks so is naturally sleeping at the top- Zoe has a new grown up bed and new duvet cover ( all the girls scored those) so hopefully will sleep better from now on! The simple things make them so happy!
Back later in the week with some more to share - including the August sketch from C'est Magnifique- i was thrilled to be featured again on their blog for last month!
