Just wanted to share a layout that i managed to get done on Friday- its nice to have some time in the daytime again to scrap when the 3 girls are at school and Hollie has her preschool days! I can get so much more done during the day when i am not so tired! I did finally get to the Scrappin Patch crop on Friday night which is the first time that i have made it for weeks and weeks so it was nice to be back- and to look at the new box of Prima that had just arrived - the gorgeous Fairy Belle collection is awaiting me soon! Can;t wait to get my hands on that to do some pretty ballet pages for Lucy!
Anyhoo this page that i wanted to share features my eldest daughter - Zoe- i managed to get these lovely shots of her on her 9th birthday earlier this year - normally i would have made these photos black and white but i decided to leave the colour this time - but it makes it hard to get the right pinks in the papers and have everything match! I wanted to do these photos of her justice so i was really happy with how this layout came out. I used some of the gorgeous sparkly glittery My Minds Eye papers that i have been hoarding- they are just soo pretty! I wanted to do a more grown up page for her ( although she tends to shy away from pink now) that wasn';t too pink and girly so i think that i did alright! She really has grown up so much this year - she is more reasonable and calmer and not so highly strung with big temper tantrums as she was before- tiredness is her big enemy so as long as she gets enough sleep then everything is okay!! I think that she has been influenced alot by now being a senior at school where they have the school values drilled into them and trying to earn points to be a Trusted Kid. She is very conscientious about her school work and is loving her teacher and class work- and more importantly for her making some good friends. It feels like everything is finally coming together for her and she is certainly much happier! She starts playing hockey this week for Hagley Sports every Friday which she is really looking forward to ( they play other schools) and she is loving being in the choir- we get a billet from an Adelaide school staying with us in October and next year Zoe will get to go to Adelaide for a return visit and choir concerts which is very exciting!
Anyhoo here is the layout ...
I had a nice relaxing mothers day yesterday- Zoe had made me a card at Cubs on Thursday and Lucy had done lots of lovely pictures for me - she is so clever! - Simon got up with Hollie at 5.30am and let me sleep in and then i got breakfast in bed!!! i was even left alone for 30 minutes so i could read a little in bed ! We went and saw Nana for afternoon tea and talked to Granny last night to wish them a happy Mothers Day too. My present is being able to go to the Scrappin Patch crop day next Saturday at Rolleston- a whole day of scrapping- can't wait!
Back soon with some more layouts from Friday to share...
