scrappin' and playin' in the sunshine!

Hi Everyone,

Life has been busy here in the Evans household- the weather has been sunny and warm and we have been soaking up the rays by the pool and on our travels here and there! The girls have been busy with sleepovers and catching up with friends- Ella has gone to Charleys tonight and Zoe has made friends with Georgia from over the back fence so she is staying for the first time tonight! Its all go!

We had a lovely day yesterday with friends and their 3 kids - we all went canoeing again to the Groynes and all had a fantastic time. We had the lovely FIR the sheep dog visiting for the day so Zoe especially was absolutley beside herself with joy! He is coming to spend the day woth us again on Wed- he is just gorgeous and i am not a dog person!

Here are some shots- before i have a layout to share!

I really enjoyed my day with my scrapping buddy on Wednesday of last week. It was great to have a whole day to scrap and i was pleased to get a few pages done. You may rememeber that i signed up for a double layout class with Nic Howard last year and haven't completed many of the layouts for it! But i did get 3 doubles done and started another as well as 2 single layouts. So it was a good days work and nice to have a breal from the girls for a day!

This is a layout that i did at a crop night in December- i can't claim any credit for this one as i scraplifted it completely from Camilla Eckman using the fabulous green Kaisercraft papers that she used! I just love her use of layers and flowers and bling - she is such a talented lady and i am in awe of her talent! This is Zoe with her hest friend FIR- boy does she love that dog. Yesterday she gave Lyn and Denise a book she made herself about FIr - fully illustrated - they were very impressed! As was Pam today the owner of Bo and Murphy over the back fence- she had made a booklet with pictures for her  too !
Zoe and her great love FIR!

Here is a double page layout that i did on Wednesday last week - photos from Lucy's 4th birthday in April of last year- nice to do a brighter one! lots of fussy cutting on this one! So nice to get one of those bogey birthday pages done! I also did a double of Zoe's 6th birthday - thats like 3 years ago- will share that another day!

My focus this year is to get all those older photos done- do more varied pages and simpler pages are okay too- more doubles and do more online classes- i love Big Picture Scrapbooking classes and am looking forward to Nic Howards new class coming up in April! Can't wait- i love her style and her classes are brilliant!

The new team has been announced at Scrappin Patch - a great mix of old and new- kiwis and some international ladies too- i have to say that i felt abit wistful about it all as i had decided mid year that i would finish up in December with Scrappin Patch. Its nice not to have to scrapbook and to scrap what i like for a change but it feels abit strange to be out of the loop now and everyone else staying on ... It should be a fantastic year for inspiration with such a talented team of ladies - i was really pleased to see Belinda on the team- she was the one that first taught me to scrapbook back in 2007. I took her class at Scrapbook Art and she is not only a fabulous scrapper but the nicest person you could ever meet! I enjoyed working alongside her at Scrapbook Art and am so glad she is back scrapping and teaching others again!

Anyhoo- i am still deciding as to whether i keep this blog going now- as now i am not on a design team i don't have to keep it going, and will anyone still read it now that i am not so easy to find? I guess that i will see how it goes in the next few weeks....

Enjoy the summer sun

Francine

Super layouts Francine. I enjoy your posts whether on a design team or not. I enjoy reading about your lovely family life and then the great photos of this being created into scrapbook pages.
