Prima Roadshow

Hi everyone,

Well finally as promised i wanted to blog a little about the Prima Roadshow that recently made its way over to us in little old New Zealand. There were lots of very excited people waiting for this to finally happen after booking it all up in March of this year. Finally the big day was here!

I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Sharon Laakonen and the very bubbly and hilarious Cari the night before. Adrienne had kindly invited Megan, Sharon and I to join her and our distinguished guests for dinner the night before the classes. It was lovely to meet them in person- they were very natural and down to earth and so happy to be here. They were very impressed with the standard of New Zealand scrapbookers and were worried that their classes wouldn't be challenging enough for us! It was very interesting hearing about all the different styles of scarpbooking around the world and their amazing and incredibly busy lives travelling the world teaching and all the trade shows they attend!

The first class the next day was with the lovely Cari - creating this lovely mini album using the Alla Prima range of papers from the last CHA held in the States.

The lovely ladies and Cari with our completed albums

I wasn't sure initially about the Alla Prima range as the colours didn't appeal to me so much but seeing it all come together so beautifully i was really happy with the end result. I loved the Donna Downey stamp that we used so opefully Adrienne can get those in for us!

I managed to get a few layouts completed in the afternoon between classes and then it rolled on to 5.30pm and the lovely Sharon arrived from Timaru to teach her mini album class. This was a beautiful heart shaped album and right up my street with the pixie Glen range and lots of pinks and blues and greens.

It was lovely to use some products that i hadn't seen before like these little flower vines and the pretty baubles on the front page!

It was a great day and lovely to meet some amazingly talented international scrapbookers and learn from them. Hopefully they will be back next year to inspire us again!

happy Scrapping
