Finally a double pager!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share a double page layout that i finally completed on Friday night at the Scrappin Patch crop night. As you may remember i enrolled to do a double page layout class with Nic Howard earlier in the year - knowing that this would be a challenge for me as i haven't really done a lot of double pagers before. The class which was run through Big Picture Scrapbooking was brilliant and loaded with tons of tips and techniques and very weighty handouts each week. This class had 4 layouts to complete each week- so it was full on. i really enjoyed the class and studiously filed all the handouts and planned out all my layouts with photos, papers and everything ready to go. So how many had i actually done- 0!!!!

So finally on Friday i made myself complete the first one- and i am really ahppy with the results! I not only used up some very old Basic Grey paper that i have had stashed for years but also used 8 photos on my double page layout that really helped to tell the story of Lucy's Matariki day celebrations at preschool earlier thsi year. Doubles are definitely great for getting lots of photos scrapped! Now i just have to get all the birthday and Christmas ones done!

Anyhoo- on a personal front it has been a busy week- A Prenzels party at a friends, the movies (yes Again!), a crop night and a Stampin Up party at Sarahs on the weekend! The girls have been busy too- Zoe has been a Scout camp at Ashley Gorge for the whole weekend and had a great time. We picked her up this afternoon and it was a truly beautiful spot- we will definitely have to go back for a picnic and a swim in the river- very pretty spot. We had to rush back as Ella was at a birthday party and then was coming home for a swim with her friend- :Lucy had a party at Chipmunks yesterday so it has been pretty busy as well as Christmas shopping and the likes.

Its hard to believe that it will be December on Thursday - the girls have only 13 days of school left as Ella gleefully told me today! I am planning to do a december Daily album this year as we have a very busy time at Christmas in our house. Simon has started putting up the lights - it takes him awhile believe me! the girls and i are planning our Christmas party. Simon comes as Santa of course and gives each of the kids a gift and we swim and have a party feast and  a great time! last year we had about 40 kids and it may top that this year!
Lots to do!

Francine
