This is a layout that i did many moons ago for a kit from Scrappin Patch using the Basic Grey Olivia range of papers. One of the great things about being on a design team is being challenged to use papers that you normally wouldn't and to use only a limited number of embellishments- this really gets the creative process going. This was one of those layouts that evolved as i worked with it and that i was happy with but VERY different to what i would normally do! i am not usually a messy scrapper and don't use alot of paint or messy stuff on my layouts but am happy with how this came out. At the moment- i am loving the style of Stacey Young who is on the Prima design team. She uses paint and gesso and is a painter and splatterer and her layouts are absolutely amazing - she is jaw droppingly talented and so modest- she has her own very unique inimitable style. Anyhoo this is just a quick post before i head off to do all the pick ups from school and preschool- i will say though that i am starting to get very excited about the Scrappin Patch Spring Retreat- only 3 weeks to go and a whole weekend of scrapping happiness and 2 classes taught by the fabulous Steph Devlin who designs for Prima and Websters among others. If you haven't booked yet - be in quick as there are only a few spaces left!
Have a great weekend
