This is a layout that i did for Annelie's recipe challenge over at Scrappin Patch. It had to include
3 patterned papers
and Sewing (eek)
This is what i came up with- darling Ella being cheeky in the garden last year! I used up some of my old Jenni Bowlin papers that i have had for years- handcut the flowers and added a few extra Prima ones- i even used the sewing machine on this one! I have it all set up in my scrap room now so you should see more sewing on my layouts now that i have got past that mind barrier that i can't sew. Simon does all the sewing in this house- he is very good at turning up trousers and fixing things- Granny had a dropped hem the other week and Ella said that she should get Jim to fix it- i love how Ella thinks that sewing is a mans job because her dad does all the sewing!
Hope all you fellow Cantabrians are feeling more relaxed now that the aftershocks are settling down. Scrappin Patch has a full day crop coming up on the 16th October with all the proceeds going to the Mayoral fund for the earthquake victims. It would be great to have a big turnout and be able to make a big donation to those less fortunate - quite a few people without a house and home. Makes you realise how lucky you are!
