Well Father's Day this year was abit of a wash out for poor Simon this year with the earthquake and all! We had no power and were pretty wrapped up in dealing with the crisis and trying to keep the kids calm as all the after shocks kept coming. I never knew that the aftershocks would be so frequent and so strong- we have had over 100 so far in the 48 hours since the big one. Last night we has a few that were around the 5.4 mark. So we have had lots of nocturnal visits from Zoe and Ella when they felt all those and poor Zoe has been sleeping with dad for thelast couple of nights! There havent been as many today so things may be slowing down abit now hopefully. So far 90 building have been comdemned and some have been knocked down already- the schools and preschools have been closed till at least Monday now. So the girls are happy that they get a whole week extra off school - although they were both concerned that they were going to miss all the shows and library times etc during the week!
Anyway i wanted to show this layout with Simon and Hollie that i did for a Scrappin Patch multi- photo challenge about Fathers Day. The quote says- There is no place higher than Daddy's shoulders". This was a very pared down layout for me as Simon requested that it didn't have too many flowers on it! He really is a great hands on dad and the girls adore him so i am very lucky and so are they as i keep reminding them!
